Meet our Leaders of Tomorrow 2024
Aya Kinsey, 2024 LoT
Aya will be attending Western University for Economics and Ivey Business, where she plans to learn the intricacies of the financial world. She hopes to one day lead a non-profit organization and work directly in developing countries to teach entrepreneurial
programs and offer microcredits to women to foster financial independence.
Ameera Farhad Aziz, 2024 LoT
Ameera will attend the Life Sciences program at the University of Toronto with the
goal of becoming an OB-GYN or orthopedic surgeon. She plans to improve healthcare in
Bangladesh by opening a free clinic for accessible and affordable treatment and advocating for
women’s reproductive rights.
Nancy Okoro, 2024 LoT
Nancy will attend York University to study Biomedical Science with the goal of becoming a surgeon who cares. She is passionate about addressing discrimination in the healthcare system, after
observing someone close to her battle sickle cell disease and seeing they were treated. To gain familiarity with the health care system, she volunteers at Humber River Hospital, where she aids elderly dementia and stroke patients.

Stephanie De Castro, 2023 LoT
Stephanie served on her high school Student Council for years, as a Student Trustee of the TCDSB and as the Catholic Board Council President of the Ontario Student Trustees Association. In the community, Stephanie works to advance Filipino culture and for a Not for Profit that helps students. She will be pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Global Development at Queen’s University.
Saheed Quadri, 2023 LoT
Saheed had to go through 18 other schools on his refugee journey from Nigeria to settlement in Canada just four years ago. He dove into his passion for innovation through engineering in school and in the community. He notably took on robotics, tutoring, and soccer among other extracurricular activities in high school, while inspiring others to pursue STEM education through Rexdale’s STEM Club. Saheed will be attending the University of Waterloo, to study Mechatronics Engineering.
Natalie G, 2023 LoT
Natalie plays flute, sax, guitar and piano. She is a singer, public speaker, karate student, political campaigner, and a humanist- all wrapped up in a stunning cumulative average of 99%. During the pandemic, when isolation was rife, she created Natalie G. Music to help lift spirits by posting concerts and videos on social media. Natalie helped design a space module to harvest energy for the Engineering Idol Competition, and this fall she'll head to U of T for Civil Engineering.
